Ichiran Canal City Hakata

Excellent ramen. Expect a line. The menu is limited so as to better pursue perfection in a narrow scope. The ramen was amazing. The almond matcha pudding had the best texture. There are multiple locations in Fukuoka but this is the only one I've been to.

Best place in canal city for ramen! Very private dining! Excellent customizable ramen. You can get rid of the divider if you want to talk to your friends! The half order of extra noodles was perfect for me, my husband got the full order, but he never finishes his broth.

Where else can one have ramen made exactly the way you want, from broth to firmness of noodles to toppings? The whole Ichiran dining experience lets you commune with your bowl of noodles without distractions. Fun!

Noodles are ok. Personally just dont like eating in a cubicle.

Here is located in B1. It’s better to decide your own recipe to enjoy Japanese ramen in advanced. If you are greate eater, I recommend add more noodle or rice.

The Ichiran bowl here looks different from other branches. I think this branch taste better.

impressive private-reading-room-like table. and funny to order to my own taste. it was little bit difficult to make an order but not so bad. if you enjoy spicy food, you could feel like oily on "normal"

Hope it’s the same as the main store. Couldn’t bother to walk 15 min in the burning sun, 35 degrades. Broth and noodles were perfect, choose to your own preference. The standard size was kind of small had to order extra noodles. I’m not a big eater, but you can order afterwards, just have the money ready. You could choose the firmness again.

Great ramen. Go for the experience (famous ramen place where you don’t have to interact with anyone). Considerably more expensive then other ramen places. Went there once, and that was enough. Good food but not worth the money and typical long line to get in.Tip, go midday before or after lunch to avoid long lines.

Possibly the best ramen in Japan, this store at Canal city serves their signature ramen in special rectanglar bowl. Do try to finish the soup and you will find something special.

Ichran serves Hakata’s famous pork broth ramen. You can chose the level of spiciness, as well as adding extra noodles, meat, egg etc. it has individual stalls, so not a place for a group gathering! Broth is absolutely amazing - definitely a good place to go if you want to try Hakata Ramen.

Ramen was great. But the queue? Not so. Great experience but I won't do it a second time. I can find local ramen at a cheaper price with a taste just as great! :)If you are short of time, consider giving it a skip. You can have great ramen at a local ramen shop too. :)

Great tasting ramen that you can customize to your taste. Have to order and pay first before you get seated.

The branch I visit in time that not much customer. We can eat in short time. Ramen in hot nice soup. Sitting in individual slot.

ichiran is THE place to enjoy hakata ramen. the atmosphere is very unique in that there are dividers between you and other patrons, and servers give you the ramen and then give you privacy by unrolling a small bamboo curtain. you can also customize your ramen on a notepad, and use a button to call the servers. its super friendly to foreigners!

Still the best, if not, one of the best ramen I have ever tasted! The broth's heaviness is just right in that sweet spot. You really wont go wrong having rour ramen there

Ichiran ramen is famous and needs no introduction. Consistent quality throughout Japan, tastes the same as the ones in Tokyo.

First time visiting and had a good ramen. For me visiting every ramen places is a must do activity while I am in Japan. Ichiran ramen had a really really good noodle, but the broth wasn’t quiet enjoyable (again, i am not a salty food fan). Maybe i should’ve checked less salty from their order book, but not sure there was a check box option tho. It is always enjoyable with a cup of beer! 🍻
